Dr. Mandal is a compassionate, consummate professional who pays close attention to her patients. Her office is serene and comfortable and her staff is always so pleasant and helpful. She asks the right questions and puts you immediately at ease. She is also a great source of referrals. I have been a patient of hers for 3 + years and have only positive things to say. Every other doctor I've seen in manhattan has rushed me out of the door without taking the time to ask me questions about my job/family/life that might affect my health--Dr.Mandal does not operate that way and I'm relieved to find a doctor that recognizes the importance of talking with and listening to her patients. Dr. Mandal made me feel at home for my first visit with her. She even called my personally about my test results and explained the importance of each test and the outcome. I would recommend her to anyone looking to switch doctors. Good Experience
I had the pleasure of having a physical with Dr. Mandal today. She was professional, pleasant and the appointment did not feel rushed in any way. Her office was clean, the front desk was friendly and I love the fact that appointments can be made online. Finally - an excellent doctor!
I am sure all people can relate to the challenge of finding a good doctor that has a comforting manner, provides as much information as you need or request, who trusts your understanding of yourself, who takes their time and avoids treating you like an item on a conveyor belt in an assembly line at a production facility. Dr. Mandal is definitely that doctor. The office space is quaint and organic and her assistant warm and pleasant. I have only been for one visit and a consultation thereafter at the time of creating this review, so one could either take this with a grain of salt, or be impressed that after only one experience with Dr. Mandal, I am struck with how my expectations have been met. a welcome change
I switched my Primary Care Dr. to Soma Mandal after years of frustration and misery in dealing with my former PCP. Dr. Mandal's small practice is just what I was looking for. I love the online appointment system, the small, soothing office, and her her warm yet professional manner and approach to medicine. It was such a relief to find her, and recommend her to anyone looking for a PCP. best dr i've ever been to
Dr Soma Mandal is the most caring and detailed doctor I have ever had. No matter how big or small the matter, she will take great care of you and help you feel comfortable and relaxed. She created an amazing system in which there are rarely ever any wait time and if you come in your scheduled time, you're in and out in no more than half an hour. This is phenomenal as most patient visits, you sit in the waiting room for an hour before you see someone. She also personally follows up with you via phone or email. I am very comfortable with Dr. Mandal. She seems systematic and thorough. She always explains what she is doing. She guides you through her thought process with the diagnosis. She tells you when she doesn't know what the problem is. She doesn't hesitate to refer you to the appropriate specialist. She is responsive to questions. satisfied

Dr Mandal is excellent. She gives you her personal attention and listens to your case without rushing things. The appointments are also well-spaced through the day so that the patient is not rushed in and out of consultations. That is definitely a plus point! Also, their system of getting appointments online is very efficient and a real bonus in New York City! |
