Dr. Mandal is truly an anomaly in this city full of frantically busy doctors with no time for their patients. She listens so attentively that she remembers conversations from your last visit, and always follows up in a timely fashion if you have pending lab results. If you want the mind of a scientist, the efficiency of the Tokyo metro and the caring of Doc Baker from "Little House on the Prairie," this is your woman. I have never had a more pleasant experience at the doctor's office. Last office visit No Star Rating for this Review

I am a tough sell when it comes to MD's. When I decided to look for a new internist, I spent time researching the internet and came up with Dr. Mandal. She strives for a relaxed and trusting patient-doctor relationship, returns calls, and actually listens to her patients. Recently I recommended her to an acquaintance who is anxious about blood tests and doctors. He was calmed by her presence and delighted with her approachability. Soma Mandal is different. Her micro-practice is the opposite of what we have come to expect of our physicians. I have never been so satisfied in my life! Run--don't walk--to your next visit!
Dr. Mandal is hands down the most pleasant and attentive doctor I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. In a city full of arrogant primadonnas rushing to their weekend homes, Dr. Mandal is an oasis of patience and knowledge, with a bedside manner that will easily put the most nervous of patients (such as myself) instantly at ease. I could not recommend her more highly. I'm ALMOST looking forward to the next time I get sick... Thorough and Caring Doctor
Dr. Mandal is very efficient and never keeps you for more than one minute in the waiting room. She makes it easy for you to schedule an appointment online, too. Her office is small and homey, so you never feel like you are shedding your clothing under a bright fluorescent light to be scrutinized. She is also very thorough and asks you questions to bring up topics you might not want to bring up yourself. All around she is a great doctor. yearly check up

Dr. Mandal was very thorough in during my first visit and made me feel welcome and comfortable. She answered all of my questions, quickly got back to me with blood test results, and made some great recommendations for specialists I needed to see.
